Hi, I’m

Britton

MIKE

Candidate for St. Catharines City Council

St. George's Ward

PRIORITIES FOR ST. GEORGE'S WARD

Priorities for St. George's Ward

A focused approach to making life more affordable, our neighbourhoods safer, and our ward stronger.

01

LOWER TAXES

City Hall needs to spend smarter, control costs, and grow our tax base so we can bring the tax burden down for residents.

02

SAFER NEIGHBOURHOODS

Everyone deserves to feel safe in their home and neighbourhood. I want community safety to be a core priority at City Hall.

03

STANDING UP FOR ST. GEORGE'S

Our ward deserves its fair share of investment, vibrant neighbourhoods, and a councillor who listens, fights for residents, and gets things done.

Full campaign platform and detailed proposals coming soon.

Why I'm Running

Why I'm Running

St. Catharines isn’t just where I live — it’s home. I’m a fifth-generation St. Catharines resident, and my family has now lived in the same two family homes in St. George’s Ward across six generations. These neighbourhoods are more than places I want to represent — they’re where my family put down roots, where I live today, and where I have a personal stake in seeing our community thrive and succeed for years to come.

I believe strong communities are built by people — neighbours helping neighbours, businesses investing locally, and charities, churches, and service clubs stepping up to make a difference.

I’ve seen that both in government, serving on City and Regional Council, and in the community through organizations like Habitat for Humanity, Rotary, and Crime Stoppers.

Great communities are built when people, community organizations, and good government work together.

City Hall should bring taxes down by spending smarter and growing our tax base; make our neighbourhoods safer; and make sure St. George’s Ward gets its fair share.

That’s the approach I’ll bring back to City Council — working with our community, fighting for St. George’s Ward, and getting things done.

Together, we win.

MEET MIKE

Mike’s experience serving St. Catharines started early. At 24, he became the youngest City Councillor in the city’s history, representing St. George’s Ward from 2014 to 2018. He later served on Niagara Regional Council in 2022.

But his involvement in the community didn’t stop when he left elected office. Mike continued working on the issues he cares about most — community safety, affordable housing, and helping people in need — serving on the boards of Crime Stoppers of Niagara and Habitat for Humanity Niagara, while giving back through Rotary, the Royal Canadian Legion, and other local organizations.

Today, Mike continues that work as Executive Director of Crime Stoppers of Niagara and Vice-Chair of Habitat for Humanity Niagara. Those experiences have given him a close-up view of the challenges facing residents, what community organizations can accomplish, and how City Hall can be a better partner in getting results.

Mike is running to put that experience to work for St. George’s Ward — bringing taxes down, making our neighbourhoods safer, and getting things done for the people who live here.
